By day Harare is known for its numerous shopping opportunities, which range from the modern shopping centres to the large traditional markets and roadside vendors, with goods as diverse as the city itself. The main shopping and office center is the city center itself. There are smaller shopping centres in every suburb. First Street is a pedestrian mall. Street entertainers can often be found here performing acrobatics or a drama, while preachers often use the mall to proclaim their message to any who will listen.
